Our Neighborhood BBQ

So, y'all know we moved into a new pad, well, it came with really cool neighbors!!! We had such a fun neighborhood BBQ at our house to break in our new neighbors so that when we have Dave and Amie over this weekend, we can be loud and abnoxious without worrying. We invited just the few houses on our end of the block and there were about 20 of us at the height of the party. We drank something ridiculous like 18 bottles of wine. It was sooooo much fun.

This is a picture of our neighbor across the street and one house up the block, Norma. We love her and take her roses from our garden every couple of days. Remy loves the fact that she has a big fluffy cat. This is a pic of her at the party feeding Remy her best bites of cake with chocolate (see how he is hovering?). We lucked out and have a beautiful set of neighbors. I just love them all - - Not one person showed up without a bottle of wine, a homemade dish to eat and a welcome to the neighborhood card. Unbelievable how nice they all are.

Sunglasses and Lizzards are Cool!

Well, Remy has decided that he is down with Sunglasses (he keeps wearing mine so I need to get him his own pair!). Here is a pic with his famous Elvis snarl.

We caught a lizzard the other day which was very fun, but of course we let him go. 'Lizzard' is one of Remy's better words where we can sort of understand what he is saying - it sounds more like 'Dizzard'. He starts a lot of words with a 'D'. Like 'bus' is actually 'dus' according to Remy.

My Monkey

So - Remy sleeps just like me with his arms over his head like a monkey. It is so cute. But he also sweats when he sleeps - not so cute.

The Hammock

Well - we hung up our hammock today between two palm trees!!! It is perfect :)

Del Mar Fair

We went to the Del Mar Fair recently and had a great time. We actually ate a deep fried oreo and oh man, it was sooooo good. If you ever wanted something outrageous deep fried, then a fair is the place to get it. They had deep fried hamburgers, twinkies, snickers bars - - it was crazy.

The House!

So - we moved into a new house and haven't even sent a note out telling anyone yet. We are so bad. Jess just posted some pics of the exterior of the house on our website (the interior is still too messy but those will come soon). We love it. It is a cute little house on the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in South Carlsbad. It is walking distance to the lagoon and coffee (I am very happy about the coffee part!!!). And we are still 5 min from the beach right on the edge of the fog line.

We are trying to rent the condo. Still no takers . . . . hopefully soon!!!!

First Try

Well, this is my first attempt at creating my own blog. I saw Keedran's and liked reading it and seeing the updates/pics of Ellie that I thought I should toughen up and give this a try. So, here are some new pics of the Remster.
